The quiet end of the island
The City of Anna Maria sits at the north tip of the island and it is the smallest and quietest of the three cities. Pine Avenue is the main street, Bean Point is the northern point where the Gulf meets Tampa Bay, and the housing is mostly older cottages and elevated homes rather than condo buildings.
Lot sizes are small, houses are close to the water, and the sand up here is shellier and coarser than what you find on Siesta Key.
Rental rules and Saturday changeovers
Anna Maria has its own rental regulations, separate from Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach. Most of the rental stock still runs weekly, which means Saturday is the changeover day and the window between checkout and check-in is short.
